All Quadratec Modular Skid Plates are a simple no drill installation that’s easy to install with the included hardware and brackets. Engine Skid Plates feature removable access panels to the oil drain plug. Skid plates feature recessed bolt heads, drainage provisions and stamped embossing where applicable. The 6mm thick aluminum panels are the next evolution in under body protection providing superior strength and flexibility while minimizing weight. Why do we use aluminum for our skid plates? Aluminum’s density is about 1/3 that of steel and the advantage of the increased material thickness to offset strength makes aluminum more dent resistant over steel skid plates of the same weight. Aluminum is extremely corrosion resistant and will not rust even if the surface coating becomes gouged or scratched. Aluminum is the true winner over steel in cost, strength, and durability. Each panel is laser cut and press formed for a precision fit and finished in a durable silver powder coat finish for awesome looks and lasting durability.

Excellent costumer service like always. Fast shipping. Now for the Skid Plate Review.
This plate is beefy. The new cross member is beefy. No loss of ground clearance. You can use the factory transfer plate if you grind the ears off of it. Works well. Looks good.
Aluminum
Seems sturdy and well built. I installed it myself just put the jeep up on ramps if you don’t have a lift. Hardest part was getting off the grinded down old bolts for the cross arm and transfer case skid. Also you can reuse the stock transfer skid plate despite what quadratec says. You just have to grind down the curved up ends by the front two bolts so you can slide it under this skid plate.
