Can this be used without the factory fuel-tank skid plate? The current factory plate is very severely rusted, and I intend to remove it.
If used without factory skid, are additional parts required?

No. It is designed to provide added skid protection and not fully replace the factory original skid plate. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think the factory fuel tank skid plate also holds the gas tank in place. I have heard stories of aftermarket skid plates requiring some jimmy rigging to make this work. Does this skid place fully replace the factory skid plate, and does it have what is needed to mount the gas tank?
