Reviews for Quadratec 4 Bike Folding Bike Rack for 2" Receiver Hitch

Simple to install, easy to use, and sturdy. I tried another brand that "guaranteed" it fit a Jeep Wrangler. Two tries at extensions later I finally bought what I should have at first -- Quadratec 4 Bike Folding Car Carrier.

Assembly is simple and the tools are included (I would recommend a 3/4" ratchet over the supplied wrenches). From unboxing to hanging a bike for test took under 15 minutes. Unit is sturdy and stable both with and without a bike. Supplied strap helps keep bikes from swaying.

My unit came with a cable lock that can be keyed to your ignition. While the cable is not going to stop a determined thief, it's a good deterrent when leaving bikes for a short period. I wouldn't recommend the lock for overnight parking .

This rack allows clearance for the rear door and lift gate without the need for a hitch extension. I am not sure how the rack would work with larger tires, but another review (unit w/o lock) said the rack was ok for his 32" spare.

Did quite a bit of research before selecting this rack and it really paid off. This is a nicely engineered design. Super easy to assemble and install...5 minutes tops. I love the way it stows when not in use and the mechanism to drop it out of the way for tailgate access is very smooth. Really solid, no rattles and looks great! A wrench is included but I highly recommend picking up a 3/4" ratchet wrench (~$10) and keeping it with the rack. It will make installing or removing the hitch bolt a lot faster and easier.

First let me say, IT FITS A 32" Tire perfectly. Now as for quality great from what I can tell. The only rattle that you have or may here is from the top post when the arms are out but other then that IT'S A SNUG FIT ALL THE WAY AROUND. With all the bikes off and arms folded the truck door open with no problems. The strap is the only confusing thing but it seams it is for just one bike other then that all the rubber bungees are great. Recommend the quadratec adapter for the ladies bike or if you have a full suspension bike in order for it to work. Definitely a 5 Star and did I mention IT FITS A 32" Tire Perfectly with out scratching the wheels even if you have a set of custom wheels. Good job Quadratec and great price.

Sturdy build. Not fancy. Hinges are held in place by locking pins. Every thing lines up well. My spare tire was too big and initially wouldn't fit, so I ordered a 7" hitch extension from Amazon. Not the fault of the product. The rack folds down nicely when not in use and it was easy to lower the hitch when I needed to get into the back of the Jeep. This is a really good product that just works. I can't imagine spending $500 for the same thing.

Installation seems a bit wobbly. Other than that, very good product.
