Reviews for Quadratec Adventure Mirrors with Square Head for 76-24 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ & Gladiator JT
Have to agree with so many others. I don't mind the excessive wind noise too much, but they vibrate so much it's hard to look into them while driving. Worst of all, anything over 45 MPH and the wind swings them inward rendering them useless.
Cheaply made.had to weld a pin on arms to keep them from folding in at highway speed. The threaded insert is pulling out of the arm.you cannot get them tight enough to stay in place
Wind moves the mirrors. Cannot tighten enough to make them stay in place. They essentially do not work unless driving at not-highway speeds.
These are terrible. I couldn't get them to tighten up enough to prevent them from blowing back towards me while driving when it got just a little windy and even worse is the vibration...can't see a thing in the mirror while driving the vibration was so bad. Mad I have to lose money just to send them back when it's not my fault they are junk. This is a quality issue and Quadratec should be willing to pay for the shipping costs to send them back.
I have always had good luck with Quadratec products and these look really nice out of the box. I followed the instructions and then went for a drive only to find out they shake and vibrate terribly. To the point where you can't see out of them and the constant flickering is annoying. I retightened everything and still the same experience. I returned them today and found some anit-shake mirrors somewhere else with a thicker mounting rod. I have a 2021 JL that rides smooth, so it appears to be a bad design flaw in the mounting rod on these mirrors.
Shakes a ton and whistles in the wind.
These things are terrible they vibrate so bad you can barely make out anything in them and they fold in when you drive down the highway
Like the mirrors, but no matter how tight I would make the nut on the mounting stud they would flip inside as soon as I got above 25 mph. Honestly the round style mirrors work a lot better.
Planning to return. They make an annoying whistle sound while driving.
Had them on the Jeep for a month. One minor hit to the passenger side mirror (a kid in a parking lot hit his head on it) and it’s all floppy and loose. Not happy. Since it’s going on a Jeep it should be Jeep tough.
