Reviews for Quadratec Adventure Mirrors with Square Head for 76-24 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ & Gladiator JT
They do the job. They rattle at high speed and whistle pretty loudly, but they keep you legal with the doors off
Simple and affordable for me!
Very hard to get these mirrors not to push in when driving. They do vibrate, too. Not the best solution IMO.
Easy installation and removal. Mirrors vibrate and move inward at speed. Minor issues considering $50 and your legal.
they work pretty good. good deal of vibration while driving. but over all not to bad
Good quality. A lot of visible vibration at road speeds
Size of mirrors are perfect. The only issue I have found was the mounting of mirror was a bit of a pain. The mirrors have to be tightened a good bit so no movement occurs while driving. The washers that come with kit are cheap plastic and they do not look very good once installed.
While these mirrors do the job, there are a couple of niggling issues. First off, you really have to crank them down pretty tight. If you don't, the wind will blow them in, rendering them useless. So, when you do crank the down tight enough, it destroys the flimsy plastic washers that are supposed to protect your paint. After you get them tight enough and everything is in place, then you have to deal with the whistling and vibration when you hit about 35 mph.
I don't think these mirrors will be my long term solution. I'll be replacing them with something a bit more robust.
Fine if you're only looking to technically be street legal. Can't get them to stay straight no matter how hard I tighten, wind blows them in. Also, a much bigger pain to mount and take off each time than I thought it would be. Just keep your wrench handy I guess.
Easy install and they look great. Problem is the vibrate extensively, so much so that it's difficult to make out what's in the mirror. They also don't stay tight if you rotate the arm as the lock nut grabs and loosens with each rotation.
