Reviews for Quadratec Adventure Mirrors with Square Head for 76-24 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ & Gladiator JT
Mirrors do not stay still at high speeds. I am always moving them. not sure how to fix that.
Mirrors look nice and no issues with the quality. However, these mirrors make a whistle noise when driving. I believe it’s caused by air flowing between the actual mirror and the rubber ring that is around the mirror. I tried using silicon and black electric tape to prevent air from getting in there but had not luck and they still made a whistle noise. In addition, the mirror shakes when driving making it almost impossible to see anything. No matter how hard I try to tighten the mounting nut that problem doesn’t go away. I even bought different washers and still can’t get the nut to tighten. Again, I liked the look of the mirrors but would not recommend them. I’d return these if I could, but bought in December and couldn’t use until spring. I’d recommend buying a different mirror.
I wanted these to replace my Lange mirrors that I got. The Lange are perfect except I do not like how both mirrors are convex, so I bought these. I will be returning them as they vibrate. I do not recommend them.
While these are very easy to install, they vibrate so much and don’t stay in place for long. They were very tight and secure and still the image in the mirror is so wobbly. Not many options when the doors are off, better than nothing but still disappointing.
Feels like I am going to break the brackets because I have to tighten so much to keep the wind, at speed, from turning the mirrors. Vibration almost renders these useless.
Very easy to install, but if you go over 50mph they tend to move in as the wind blows by. I have tightened them several times. I’m afraid that I’m going to break or strip the threads by over tightening them.
Easy to put on but difficult to get to stay in place at higher speeds.
The one Timon point to the Jeep slips and at highway speeds the mirrors fold into the Jeep constantly needing to be re adjusted. The rod that old that holds the mirror to the Jeep is pressed together at the bolt point instead of one piece of steel rod with the threads die cut into it. So the bolt slips out of the rod when you tighten it down.
Whistle around 40mph. Can’t keep them tightened/usable above 50ish mph. The nut used to attach them is poor quality. Don’t attached and remove these often. If you just need something to keep you legal, these will do it. That’s about it.
Mirrors are easy to install and look good but both sides start to whistle at 40 mph. Very annoying. I will be returning them and shopping other places.
