Reviews for Smittybilt XRC GEN 1 Rear Bumpers for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
After having a ding to the rear of the jeep, and stock bumper needing to be replaced, I went with the non-spare tire carrier version and it is exactly what I wanted. Wide enough for protection but not overdone. I am running stock wheels so I had to add a wheel spacer because the tire did hit the bumper. All is good now. I just wish I would have known that beforehand.
Got the one without the tire carrier. No drilling (besides for the neato trailer plug bracket!) And bolted right up with no issues. Looks great, built great.

Zero complaints. Easy install. I’ve had this for about five years now with plenty of abuse and it has held up wonderfully. Minimal rust despite 100+ trips driving on saltwater beaches. I like having steel, but it’s heavy so plan your suspension accordingly. Tires pictured are 33” Duratrac on stock carrier.
Nice fit and welds are great. Not a big fan of the texturing but maybe that’s just me. Still rating this 5 stars, tho.
Great product with super price, BUT I want to draw your attention to the fact, that Smittybilt changed it during years. Earlier rear bumper allowed to install Bestop basket with mounting at rear door, latest version is too close to door, that is why I moved bestop basket mountings from door to tire carrier. Front XRC were changed also. They added mounts to grill for lights. I still do not understand for what... If anybody needs, he can add mounts by himself..anyway I sold my old ones and bought new same Smittybilt XRC bumpers. Heavy is good heavy is reliable
Love it
