Very good hood lock that work with ignition key. Easy to install with $20 pop rivet tool from Freight Harbor.

This is a very good product. It took me maybe 5 minutes to install. You do need to get a 1/4" pop rivet installer. Harbor freight has them for around $19.00. The key works great.

Any job is easy when you have the right tools. I had to a very hard time finding the correct rivet gun to connect this product. Once I ordered the correct gun online it was simple to put on. I kept the gun because it was that hard to find. Come barrow it anytime! I would have found it worth it to go to the company (Quadratech) just to install it for how hard it was to find that tool. Anyway, I'm in the city (Philly) a lot so I definitely needed this lock. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend. The lock programed with the driver's key perfectly.

The installation was a lot easier than I expected. The key lock programmed with 2 quick turns and the mounting holes lined up perfectly when installing. The only problem I had was removing the Jeep cable tie. I used a standard cable tie as a replacement. I also had to go to Harbor Freight to buy a rivet gun that would handle 1/4" rivets. The whole install took less than 1/2 hour.

Purchased the Bolt hood lock for a 2016 2 door Wrangler Backcountry edition with an automatic transmission. Lock is well made and sturdy. All sides of the lock are sealed from intrusion threw the grille area, even the bottom to prevent coming up from underneath to try to unlock. Was concerned about the factory black grille inserts (no mesh) interfering but the key slot of the lock fit perfectly between the plastic inserts. Had to purchase a riveter to install the 1/4" rivets, cost $20 at the local tool store. Installation took under 15 minutes. Lock has the ability to code the tumblers to the factory ignition key which is a plus. Can still move the hood up about a 1/4" when the lock is engaged but there is a piece of metal that sticks up from the lock assembly that prevents a screwdriver from moving the hood arm over to release, can only see the top of pivot pin when looking in the hood gap. Great purchase to prevent possible thief of items under the hood.

I live in the city and i didn't want anyone trying to steal my car battery. You need a Rivet gun, which i rented from home Depot. My dad and i installed this together and it took about an 1 hour or so.

Extremely easy install. Shouldn’t take more than a half an hour.. you will need a large rivet gun that can handle a quarter inch rivet.

This thing really works well. Exactly as expected and its awesome that it works with the ignition key. Well built and easy to install.
