Description
Designed to fit with all '07-'18 JK Wranglers, this new hood lock easily rivets into existing holes and secures your under hood items from theft or vandalism as well as eliminates hood flutter. The clever design allows for a clean installation and opens with your ignition key, so no extra keys to carry around! Simply insert your ignition key and twist to program and the lock tumblers are set. No drilling required! Note: This does not work with 2018 JL Wrangler vehicles.

Had to buy a 1/4" rivet tool from Harbor Freight, but this was otherwise a simple install and increases security.

Super glad I bought this. Programming the key is super simple, install is super easy with basic hand tools and a rivet tool. Only issue I had was with my hood sitting low enough. I found having JL hood latches on a JK hood without drilling out the holes on JK latch holes makes the hood sit a few mm to high for the hood secondary latch to catch. Adjusted my JL latches so the the hood sits closer to the body and the secondary latch sat perfectly in line with the hood lock latch. Besides that worth every penny.

No, it cannot. Once your hood lock is locked, then you can remove the key. Thanks for your inquiry.
