About Quadratec's 50-for-50 Initiative
The off-road trail and public lands in general can be many things. A classroom. Proving ground. Vacation retreat. Motivational support. Therapy Session. One thing they should not be — a trash can. Or a place to somehow otherwise leave a negative mark on nature. That’s why we’ve partnered with Tread Lightly! for over thirty years to help fund clean-up events and educational campaigns across the country.
But we felt that simply wasn't enough.
So we created a beautiful Jeep JTe 2-door truck build, and spent the last 24 months completing trail cleanup and public land improvement projects throughout the United States — one project per state behind our 50 State, 50 Trail initiative. At Quadratec, just like Tread Lightly!, we take personal responsibility in doing our part to preserve access to outdoor motorized recreation. So we created this Stewardship Program to give local groups the funding they needed to complete important projects.
And complete them, they did. From informational signage events, to trail improvement programs, all the way to huge trash-pulling projects that helped remove harmful waste from public land and trail systems.
As this initiative draws to a close, we humbly thank every volunteer out there who helped complete these crucial activities.
"The vast majority of employees here at Quadratec are outdoor enthusiasts, not just motorized offroad, but camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and hunting, just to name a few. We want to make sure the public lands are maintained and improved so we have somewhere to enjoy all these hobbies we love so much. Any chance we have to give back to public lands, we jump on it."
"We look forward to working with Quadratec on this wide-reaching initiative, and are excited about their enthusiasm for our mission of protecting outdoor recreation opportunities for future generations."
"We are so thankful for the help from Tread Lightly! and especially the grant from Quadretec, without which, we wouldn’t have had the funding to dispose of this trash and make this area safe for users, as well as wildlife again."
"Without the help and supplies and trash bins that TL! and Quadratec donated, our 4th annual USFS Cleanup would not have been as successful as it was. We look forward to future partnerships to help improve Superior National Forest for motorized vehicles."
"While Tread Lightly! normally focuses on public land use, we greatly appreciate of this support from Tread Lightly!, Quadratec and Jeep, as well as the tireless work of the volunteers. As a community, we need to remember to ‘Do Our Part’ no matter where we are recreating."
"Just another example of the off-road community coming together to accomplish positive work and give back to the community. It is always amazing to see the great things that can be done when organizations like Detroit 4Fest, Jeep and Quadratec, along with passionate off-roaders, come together."
"It’s amazing to get help with funding for trail maintenance, the forgotten ingredient for long term trail success. Well Done 50/50 Quadratec & Tread Lightly! Thank you so much for contribution to our heavily used trail."
"What a fantastic experience, collaborating with Tread Lightly!, Quadratec, Massachusetts DCR, neighbors and ESPECIALLY the club members and volunteers to clean up this area and leave it better than we found it. What an amazing job by an amazing group of people."
"It’s an honor to be a part of an event such as the 50/50 cleanup. It holds near and dear to my heart because I grew up less than 10 minutes away. Huge thank you to Tread Lightly! and Quadratec for supporting the cause and providing materials to help us take care of and preserve our land."
"Wright’s Area 252 Riding Park has been open to the public for over 10 years. As knowledge of our trails have spread, the number of riders has increased. This has unfortunately led to an increase in the amount of litter, trailblazing & trespassing. The installation of our new signage that was provided by the Quadratec 50 for 50 program will help us keep responsible trail riding on the forefront of our riders' minds. It has also provided an opportunity to keep the conversation going by sharing the Tread Lightly! message through various resources at our Trading Post & hosting additional trail clean-up events. We hope that our riders will truly understand the message and adhere to responsible off-roading tips so we will all be able to enjoy the trails for years to come."
