Description
Rock Hard 4x4 Parts JK Oil Pan and Transmission Skid Plate fastens to the frame in front of both motor mounts and at the main crossover in the rear for maximum protection. An extension on the left-hand side protects the normally exposed coverter which would be a very expensive fix if damaged. Also, to make oil changes easy and to minimize clean-up, this skid plate comes complete with a splash shielded oil pan drain plug access hole. All bolts at the frame crossover are replaced with tapered bolt head protectors to allow rocks to slide across them with ease and still allow you to get a socket on the bolt heads for removal. Our tests have shown stock drivelines to clear this skid at 40" of flex. Designed for use on Wrangler JK's with a Long Arm Suspension. Choose from either Steel (49lbs) or Aluminum (31lbs).

Just installed so haven't hit a rock yet............ But the plate installed like a dream and is really beefy. Should work out great.

Strong and has held up great. Although it is tough to get everything lined up exactly, especially if you have to remove and re-install it a couple times to do other work.
Be cautious that you may need extra skid plate spacers to lower the skid if you have exhaust spacers, otherwise your exhaust may contact this skid and rattle depending on weather/temperature/throttle.

What do you mean by long arm and short arm?
Lift kits that included control arm upgrades in the industry are available with standard style short control arms or is some Long arm designed lift kit, the control arm will be longer that stock. This skid plate is designed to accommodate Long control arm lift kits.
