Reviews for Mountain Off-Road DPJL18DS Driver Side Dead Pedal for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Awesome product. It supports my body weight when descending hills off-road. Also made long drives comfortable.
I absolutely need a place for my left foot when driving an automatic, and this is the perfect solution.
Just what I was looking for. Make sure you have some small hands available to help with the install. I couldn’t do it without my wife’s help!
I'm 6'3" 150 lbs and have this installed in the closest position, helps keep a bend in my leg on long trips and some pressure off sciatic and still able to put my foot under the pedal to stretch out. Install not too bad, but when I went to remove it to adjust it seems the rear mounting bracket had deformed/bent enough that the threaded studs bound up and wouldnt slide out of the pedal itself. Once I was finally able to pry it off I drilled the holes out a little more so it would slide right on.
Excellent product. Well made install is hard if you are larger person and have large hands
I followed this video used fishing line , zip tie to secure it. Worked like a champ. Follow the advice to stuff the rags in case you drop the washer or nut.
I am 5’10 and have it on the middle position. I am guessing 5’9 and under will want it on first position. 6 foot and over maybe on last position.
Follow this install video it will take less than 1/2 hour.
On zip tie use make sure it’s 14-15 inches minimum. I tried using 11 inch one and it was too small.

3. Looks good works great!
Tricky install for a guy my size but i got it and it looks great and provides a place to stretch on a long trip
This is one very well made solid dead pedal. First the good, it is made from a nice heavy gauge metal and the finish on it is excellent. Now the not so good, install is a bit of a pain in the ass. getting at the rear bolt on the mounting bracket wasn't easy. Here is a tip, once the bolts on the mounting bracket are pushed thru the correct holes in the metal plate just above the side kick plate they will not stay in place when you try to mount the dead pedal to it. I used a zip tie to wrap around the mounting plate and the plate in the jeep that it gets mounted to, snugged the zip tie up holding the bracket in place, bolted the nuts holding the dead pedal to it loosely then cut the zip tie off, tightened the two bolts up, the rear one was a little hard to get to and your done. Took some time but worth the effort. Once it installed it is firmly held in place. The pedal once installed is off the floor enough that I can easily remove my weather tech floor mat without having to remove the dead pedal. You have 3 positions you can choose as to how far up or back you want the dead pedal. Another tip, you should have a good idea where you want your foot to rest on it because any adjustment after it is installed will require you to remove the pedal from the bracket holding it in place which will be an additional pain in the ass. I am 5'10 and I used the middle hole in the mounting plate to mount the dead pedal and thats comfortable for me. Overall I am very happy with the quality of this pedal. This was also about $20 less than ordering it from Amazon.
Works great. Hard to install but worth it on drives.
I installed my pedal this past weekend (02/21/21). I chose the middle setting for the installation. The pedal itself is a great item. You don`t realize how much you missed it until you install one. That being said, at 6. feet and 290 lbs it was a little tight down there during the install. I have large hands,(arthritis) and the bolt at the front end of the jeep was really difficult to get on and then tighten. All and all, i am very happy with the pedal.
