Reviews for Quadratec Maximum Duty Hydro 7.0 Shock Kit for 84-06 Jeep Cherokee XJ & Wrangler TJ
Great replacements for worn out stock shocks. Pressing the bushings in is a breeze if you have a press and some lube. Installation is pretty straight forward as well. Easily done in an afternoon.
I got these due to price and reviews. I replaced my wife's 04 TJ OEM shocks that were bad. These are a great riding shock. I would recommend them for a good upgrade from OEM.
It took me about 15 minutes to install the bushings using a vise, socket, silicon spray, and the instructions on the site. Installing them into the XJ by myself it took about 2 hours. The rear upper bolts did not break. they were already replaced by the previous owner. The ride is much better now. It's a smoother and less noisy ride. Also the shipping was quick.
I've had these installed on my TJ for a little over a year now. They still feel great. Yes the bushings are a pain to get in but with a rubber mallet, a wood block, and some spit and you should be able to get them in.
Big improvement over the skyjacker shocks these replaced. Ride is much more civil on Michigans roads
i havent ordered them yet , just concerned..on the lift part ..i want 2-3" lift will i get that lift..? and do i need anything else to use for the lift or do they just lift to the suggested height?
fit perfect and ride... like a jeep... which is good to me!
Rides very well, but them rubber bushings are a beast to install.
These ride almost as well as stock. There's VERY little body roll. VERY little brake and acceleration squat and they do a amazing job soaking up the bumps. All the bushings are urethane not rubber and come with shock boots. My jeep has never felt so smooth and controlled going down the road.
I was looking for something with a better ride. At first I was worried with being so cheap, but I went ahead a ordered the set and they got to my house in 2 days. And now the ride is the best it has ever been since I have owned the Jeep.
