Good quality
Following the downloaded instructions for the rear shock, I used my vise and a 13/16 deep socket to try and drive the cross pins and rubber bushings into the shock. The socket distorted the rubber as it tried to push it into the hole. I struggled with the first one trying to keep everything absolutely square (not easy when you're driving at an angle) and did get it in with no damage. On the subsequent rear shock and the two front shocks, I dabbed a little silicone lubricant on the rubber and they slid in as pretty as could be. Same for the lower bushings on the rear shocks.
I also had a small manufacturing defect to the threads on one of the front shocks, but driving a die on it cleaned it up the threads with no further problems.
The shocks are for my '97 TJ that is in Mexico at the moment, so I haven't installed them yet, but from the feel of the shock, there is no reason to believe they won't perform exactly as I intend them to perform.
Purchased for my daily driver xj with a 6" lift on 33's.
I had previously ( one month ago ) installed some expensive shocks $379.99 + shipping , they were stiff and made for rough ride. Fast forward, I was hesitant on these shocks because of the low price. But I figured I'd try them out. Wow what a huge difference. The Quadratec hydro shocks are simply awesome. Big improvement in ride quality, no more stiffness, extremely smooth over bumps, last ones would rattle your bones. Don't hesitate like I did. You'll definitely be happy with these. Thank you Quadratec.
Great product and perfect fit!
