Reviews for Quadratec Delrin Replacement Door Hinge Bushings for 07-24 Jeep Wrangler JK & JL 4 Door
Easy of install
Delrin, made in USA, decent price for complete kit, and good ratings.
These look like a much better quality bushing than the OEM ones. I don't know yet, since the hinge replacement "kit" I ordered didn't come with the screws, so I can't install these until I get the second order I had to make to get the screws. These bushings are a bit pricy for a hinge bushing, but if they outlast the factory ones they will have been worth it.
Made from Delrin.
That they are delrin and will not rust. Delrin is a tough plastic often used for bushings. Therefore, I hope these will be long lasting.
Easy replacement kit.
Great product, the doors swung much better after replacing the bushings. The reason for the missing star is that they do not give you enough emory cloth. Come on Quadratec, stop chinsing out! I needed one cloth per door since my door pins were so bad. For anyone looking for more emory cloth in a big-box hardware store, it's kept in the plumbing department for cleaning copper pipes with the flux and solder.
Seem to be working OK for me. Doors still swing smoothly after 3 years.
The Delrin bushings were a great idea and the doors do close easier and somewhat come off easier. I only gave 4 stars for 3 reasons. 1st, like previously mentioned in another review, you will spend more than a minute cleaning up your door pins unlike the video says. Our Jeeps have probably been more exposed to the weather and elements than Qaudratecs show room Jeep has. Make sure you have 120 grit sandpaper handy and some other hand tools available to get your old bushings out. 2nd, in the video he says to apply a little grease to your door pins, however, no where in my instructions did it say to apply grease. I kinda wondered but, stupid me went against it. I think this is why my doors squeak every time they get wet and I open them. Next time i take them off, I'll be applying that grease. Lastly, don't think your doors will just "slide off" you will still have to put your back and legs into them. They do come off a little easier but not a huge difference from the stock bushings. Maybe if I had the grease on them, then maybe. Overall, I'd recommend them.
Install was easy and doors come off much easier now.
