Reviews for Quadratec Automatic Billet Aluminum Mirror Movers for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
No more taking add on mirrors on and off!
Original position even with doors off
Awesome, the look & work great
These are awesome. No more installing/Uninstalling temp mirrors. No more trying to get mirror angles right manually when switching drivers. No more mirrors folding themselves in when hitting highway speeds.
I've had these mirrors installed now for a little over a month and truly love them. Every opportunity I get to remove doors and/or top, I will 99.9% take. Having full time dedicated mirrors is definitely my top 3 if not the top mod I've made in our 2 years together (lol yes she's my baby). With that said, I only have one minor issue and somewhat informative note to consider... the mirrors are in constant spring tension to get to the driving position which in turn forces the door to the closed position. So when you are getting in and out, the doors will always want to close on you which can sometime get in the way when you need the door to stay open. Again, to me, this is a very minor issue that I can totally ignore over the benefits of having a full time mirror I can rely on for backing up and daily driving and not having to get used to 2 different sets of mirror systems. Hope this helps.
For those complaining about the Allen key scratching the door try placing it pointing up instead of down.
If you want factory mirror location with the doors off this is the mirror kit for you. I tried other kits but could never get the same placement. Then had to take and remove the mirrors. This kit is one and done. It is very high quality. Yes, it costs 299 but is worth it for safety and hassle. Get what you pay for!
There´s no mirror set for a TJ like this. I custom a JK set to fit on my TJ, i like it, it look like came directly from the factory.
These have been one of the best upgrades for my Jeep hands down. The only thing I don't like is how the wires sort of lay against the inside of the engine bay / loop around some of the metal pieces. I may eventually drill a hole though one section of the metal under the hood and use a grommet to pass the wires through. It's a nit-picky thing and not a big deal.
The convenience of having the factory, full size mirrors with the doors off can't be understated.
