Reviews for Pypes Performance Exhaust SJJ21R High Clearance Cat-Back System in Stainless Steel for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Install is pretty straightforward, I have a 2010 wrangler spor, 2 door and had to cut 16 1/2 inches off to make it fit. The sound is great especially around the 3500 and up range, you get a little droning on the highway but not bad enough to make it annoying.
Great exhaust system. Well made and everything tucks up nice and high.
Sound
Sounds like a jeep should
Easy to install! Sounds great!
First of all, the shipping was super fast. I actually got the email notifying me it shipped 2 days after I had already received it. Taking the exhaust out of the box, I was very impressed with the quality, thicker walled pipe than I expected and the muffler is well made and solid. The hardest part about the install had nothing to do with Pypes, it was removing the old exhaust. Once I got it all tightened up and started the Jeep, I am impressed with the sound, for a V6 it has a decent rumble.
The only con, it is a little bit louder than I would like, but for the money, I really can't complain. The Jeep sounds more like it should have from the factory. If you are looking for a well built system that is easy to install, takes useless bends out of the system, and opens the flow up, this is your kit.
Running these for 5 years. While it now looks 5 years old, it still looks good. Some light rust around the exhaust tip is about the worst of it.
Easier to put in than your current exhaust is to remove. Took me 3 hours in the driveway by myself. If you have a 2-door, be prepared to cut the pipe, that's the hardest part.
Still sounds fantastic. Nice resonance. Never screwed with my sensors. The clearance is fantastic.
Clean system..
Install was fairly simple & the sound is great.
