Reviews for Magnaflow 15160 Street Series Axle Back Exhaust System for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK in Black
Great sound! Easy install.
Fairly quickly install. Nice little hp boost. Great sound.
GREAT PRODUCT. It was easy to install. Took about 30 minutes. Hardest part was getting the old muffler loose from the rubber hangers. The new exhaust system looks and sounds great. Very little drone inside the Jeep. Nice sound!!
Great sound, no drone and easy install.
Nice sound! Feel the very small added power but can hear the engine is free flowing at take off. Fuel economy increased just over 1 mph and hey thats around 20 miles per tank.
Very easy install. As others have stated, removing the old exhaust is more difficult than installing the new system. A little WD-40 and channel locks made the removal from the hangers fast - less than 15 minutes total. The clamp was a little harder after 25k miles, but not bad. Fit is a little close to the stock plastic bumper, but acceptable. Works with a Versa-hitch installed, too, FYI. Sound is great, especially in the power band. Otherwise not loud enough to cause the neighbors to complain, no drone, and deep tone. Highly recommend for an upgrade that won't get you pulled over or wake the neighborhood when you come home late.
Sound is great, no drone and looks great too.
Had it professionally installed because the old one needed to be cut off. Looks and sounds great. It’s not too loud or obnoxious. Haven’t tested to see if I get better MPGs yet.
I received and installed the Magnaflow just three days after ordering. Not only was the ordering process simple, the installation process was also simple (just be sure to use a hangar removal tool if you want the hangars to come off quickly). The exhaust note sounds great-- not a loud drone but rather a low, throaty sound. It seems like my Jeep has more pep, too. Bottom line is that it looks great and sounds great. It's a nice custom edition that fits within a reasonable budget.
Excellent exhaust system, I'm an engineer and I expect things to be made with quality and workmanship, this system delivers both. Nice tone compared to stock, it's no V8 and I didn't expect that. The exhaust was packaged extremely well, and arrived in perfect condition and no scratches.
So, I had a muffler hanger tool, I lubed up the old hangers with a little grease, popped right off even though rusty. I also soaked the old exhaust connection overnight with a liberal amount of WD-40, about the only way you can call me a "Liberal" haha. The next morning I wrestled it off lifted slightly on a car lift in what I would call a rusty muffler dance, about 5 minutes it was laying on the floor.
Going back on with the Magnaflow was super simple, I did use a layer of Permatex muffler sealer on the outside of the old tail pipe over the axle after a steel brushed and Scotchbrite. Easy stuff...love it, sounds great and no drone at all, cause the tires are louder on a Jeep anyway, it's a Jeep.
