Straight forward design and install. Worked great with an aftermarket bumper to allow enough clearance for a 33 inch tire.

Used this with the Rugged Ridge Spartacus HD Tire Carrier Hinge Casting on my 2005 TJ. Lifts the tire about 2" and carries up to a 35" tire. This mount also allows you to keep the classic flat back spare tire...I have an original stock bumper and it fits perfect, some people said they had issues with other after market bumpers..the Spartacus HD has a fast back option of a mount sold separately, but after watching this Australian dude install the Hinge Casting with it I opted for this one...it has the tire sitting too far from the Jeep, looks like it's floating from the side.
