Reviews for Quadratec Flashlight Holder for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT
My foot caught the flashlight while getting out of the Jeep and broke the plastic arm.
Flashlight is not as well built. It does not appear as though it would stand up to rough use. It is not very bright, I have other flashlights that are smaller cheaper and by far brighter. The threads for closing the back of the light are a fine machine thread making it very difficult to not cross thread when closing the back. With the batteries in place closing the back of the flashlight takes patients. Overall its an overpriced product of low quality.
Loved this item, right up until the first really cold night (in the 20's...cold here for TX) and I pulled the flashlight out and one of the clips broke. Would like to see this made out of better quality materials.
Cheap plastic that cracked within a few months. Probably fine if you never plan to access your flashlight, but save your money and go with a metal version if you actually plan to use it
I am generally pretty good on not over tightening things, but the thread insert for the clamp screw does not give that feedback one would expect. If you hear squeaking, the insert is probably stripped in the plastic.
Flashlight plastic mount is garbage….lasted about 40 uses before failing.I’m fine with plastic items…but I’ve seen kids toys made of better stuff. How about a mount as rugged as my Gladiator ?
Bracket broke the first time I tried to take the flashlight out. It was 19° outside, maybe the plastic was brittle? Don't buy if you live anywhere where it freezes.
These brackets are garbage. Mine broke after putting the flashlight into them. The plastic is brittle and this is a bad design. I do not recommend it. It is over priced, and it fails within 1-2 times of using it.
I received these as a Christmas gift Dec 2021. I installed them and put a maglite in the Jeep. Took the flashlight out for the first time May 2022 and the front holder snapped apart.
Installed easily enough and then broke in three pieces when putting the flashlight in. Cheap plastic for 30$. Wouldn't do it if I were you.
