Install was simple and quick, especially after moving the seat all the way back. My 3-cell D battery Mag-Lite fits snugly in the holder. One thing to keep in mind - the flashlight is not accessible while the door is closed. There's not enough room to reach down and pull it out of the holder unless you open the door. Not an issue for me but it depends on what you need the flashlight for...

Is there a diameter range of the flashlight that this holder can accommodate if the accompanying flashlight is not purchased? i.e. using another brand of light but want to use the holder.
1 9/16" to 1 3/4" and D-Cell Battery spec flash lights should fit. Thanks for your inquiry.
