Reviews for Oracle Lighting 7" High Powered LED Headlight Pair

The headlights look good once installed and are very bright by comparison to OEM bulbs but... Installation of these lights requires considerable modification to the inner-headlight bucket on CJs. That point was not mentioned in the description of the product but should be. The headlight bucket must be cut to allow the rear of the LED (cooling fins, etc.) to fit into the headlight bucket of a Jeep CJ. The cutout should just allow the fins and other large protrusions on the back of the LED to fit into the bucket properly. Correct adjustment of the beam is adversely affected if too much of the bucket is removed for fitment of the LEDs.
The final product looks quite good installed. We haven’t used them much at night but they seem much brighter than the old-school halogen lightbulbs for our old CJ8. I will say the “under one hour” estimate for installation was way off for the CJ. There was a fair amount of metal cutting to make them fit.

Good
These are awesome! The performance from these headlights is amazing. I would have given 5 stars except for the fit. I had to use weatherstripping around the headlight to keep it snug. Other than that, I love them.
The instructions don't tell you how to attach the wiring to the turn signal. I had to call in because the pictures they provide are so small you cannot see what you need to do. If you've never used these wiring clips you're likely not going to know how to do it. Then the instructions told me to clip the wrong wire on the passenger's side and the halo was connected to my turn signal.
Once I got it right, they are really cool.
So far so good. Just installed them this week. Way better lighting then the stock headlights that came on the Jeep when purchased originally. The only issue we had with installation, (and it was a minor fix) was that the lights didn't fit snugly when secured in place. We fixed the issue by applying an 1/8" thick weatherstripping around the perimeter of the headlight to keep it from rattling around. You can find this weatherstripping at the hardware store with all of the window/door weatherstripping. It was a minor irritation, as we had to stop in the middle of the installation to go to the store to pick up an item before we could complete the project. But like I said, its a minor issue, that was easily remedied.
I have had these installed for almost a year and they have been pretty good lights. The brightness is like oil and water compared to stock lighting. The halos are a nice addition and provide a unique “day-time running light” feature. I have gotten many compliments with these and many more waves. Although at night a few drivers get upset or divert their eyes I notice due to the high-led brightness. That is with the low beam. Fairly easy install although it took me around 2-3 hours as it was my first time working with any wiring/t-taps. Great product overall and a nice addition to any rig.
Had no problem with installing these, but I do have issues with the brightness. while I can see incredibly better than I did previously, I am lifted about 4" total and i am getting people in front of me giving me the finger and people in opposite direction flashing brights at me.. thinking they may be too bright...?
