Reviews for K&N 77-1576KP 77 Series High-Flow Performance Air Intake for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT with 3.6L Engine
Install took about an hour. Instructions were missing a few steps (to remove the clamps and to install the spacer and bolt to secure the heat shield to the fender bracket), detailed pics in some cases and very vague pics in others. The parts breakdown was very helpful. Did not have to trim the edge trim on the heat shield, just work in on aggressively. Too soon to tell about MPG increase, but noticeable HP improvement. At idle or cruise I notice no difference in sound, but when under drag it has a nice growl and when you step on it, it'll turn heads.
Easy install, sounds awesome, and slightly helped my gas mileage.
Time to change air filter. Sold my wife on the fact that I need a new intake. Looking for additional performance and fuel efficiency.
Love it! The added growl sounds amazing! Worth buying!
Sounds better than stock.
Easy install (2hours), increased power, and sounds awesome!!!
Price!
Install was straight forward. Took about 45 minutes. Sound change is mild at low RPM, and aggressively loud when you stomp on it. Regular acceleration has more growl. Excellent improvement in filter surface area. Removing stock air box for this lowers the height where the filter could be exposed to water if you plan on taking your Jeep swimming.
Just installed but so far so good. Sounds good and performance is yet to be seen. Installed easily but K&Ns instructions are not all that detailed. If you’re mechanically inclined and can read a schematic not a big deal but for some this might be an issue.
I just installed this K&N Model 77 air intake system in my 2018 Jeep JL Sahara. It went in beautifully and looks great ! The instructions were clear and informative, particularly the exploded diagram to show you how all the parts line up. I found it helpful to watch the video on Youtube as they run you through the installation procedure. The whole thing took about an hour and a half, bouncing back and forth between the installation directions and exploded parts diagram and I took my time. BTW, K&N says you will have to trim the edge trim on the heat shield and I found that this was not necessary. Be sure to install the single bolt and spacer holding the heat shield to the fender bracket as that is not covered in the directions, but is shown on the exploded diagram. I took before and after pictures. Going out for a test drive now !
