Reviews for Rugged Ridge 13551.23 Dash Multi-Mount Phone Kit for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
The unit fit well In the dash of my Wrangler but did not feel sturdy. The bigger problem was the the phone mount held my phone so that it blocks part of my field of view. From my driving position it blocked a significant portion of the lower left road in front and it is not adjustable. Probably.not dangerous, but it was distracting and annoying. I returned it, even though I had to pay the $12.20 return shipping.
I've had this mount for a few months. Very disappointing! My phone pops out just driving on a bumpy highway, no way it could work off-road! I should have read the reviews BEFORE I purchased this setup. You've been warned!
Same as others have reported. End of arm/clamp that holds phone broke. Good customer service fro Quadratec. They replaced it. Second one also broke. It will still hold my iPhone 7 with case but will not hold my wife's larger phone. It's a shame because prior to clamp breaking it did a nice job. I can't recommend though because of poor quality.
Rubber arm broke less than two months after install. Poor quality
Rubber ends on clamp are not stiff enough to hold iPhone 11 Pro and the rubber ends cracked open at the flexible rubber to metal joint area of clamp ends after only 3 months of use due to vibration when trying to hold the phone. I have pics and would have gladly submitted them if the site allowed me to.
Returned. Poor quality. Not strong enough to hold iPhone 8 Plus. Camera mount has incorrect connector.
Mine broke within six months of purchasing. The side rubber holder broke off. It kind of still works but if I hit a bump to hard it pops out sending my phone flying somewhere in the cab. I initially really liked this but quality is poor.
Jessica is spot on and so is Mark W. This will fling your phone like a catapult. Barely, and I mean BARELY will fit an bigger I-phone 7 and i checked before I ordered it and was advised it would not be a problem. Well, it was. Until one of the flimsy side clips on the phone mount finally snapped in half. This is so poorly engineered and what's worse is that it is constructed with I'd estimate the cheapest, crappiest materials they could find. All joking aside, I bet this thing costs $3 dollars to make. They have some set charging $50.
I was upset to see that the price was cut in half as soon as I purchased the mount. I can see why it was reduced because the quality is very poor.
The ball and socket gives your phone very minimal movement, I can’t adjust it without it popping off. Because of the angle, my phone is being held up and out when I need to be able to turn it towards me to see it clearly.
I have to remove the phone mount in order to access my GoPro because the space between the two is very tight. It would be nice to be able to use the original mat that came with the stock dash or have the dash mount come with one.
