Any reason this couldn't be mounted 8" higher on the angled portion of the sport bar, to allow for easier loading in the rear cargo area?
You may have to trim the cover and padding to go higher. The U-bolt in this kit is designed to go around the sport cage where there is no coverage.

No it will not, the shape of the sport cage has changed too much for this to fit.
