I like the placement on the hood, but keep in mind that you'll need to relocate the windshield washer nozzle because the jack blocks the spray. Also, If you open your hood all the way and rest it on the windshield when working on the engine bay, the jack will hit the windshield, so take that into account.
I liked it so much I purchased one for my 2 door as well. Great quality and works well.
