MasterCraft Baja Dirt Sport Passenger Seat with Fixed Headrest Reviews
Easy to install and comfy. One complaint is the lever used to lean the seat forward had a lot of play in it.
To preface, I have a YJ. I waited for these for nearly 3 months. They are stated to be direct fit. Turns out the spacing from right to left bracket was off by half an inch. Given that I currently have no seats I just modified the onseat bracket by drilling out the existing holes (with a metal plates behind to prevent puncturing the seat) and got them mounted that way. I haven't perfected it yet so the seats take a lot of effort to slide as the mounting is still not perfectly on line with factory, but it is possible to fix with more time.
Also, the provided hardware interferes with the slide. Don't use a washer on the side where it mounts to the slide. Overall very frustrated with my direct fit seats, but they do look good.
Another review mentioned they sit a little higher. I think that's probably true, but I have an aftermarket steering wheel that required a spacer so it ended up about perfect for me.
Bought to replace OEM seats on my 93 YJ. Seat is great. Quality construction. Good materials. Excellent support. Only I gave this 3 vs 4 stars is the fitment. This seat is advertised as direct fit. Unfortunately, the passenger seat did not align with holes in OEM tilt & fold seat bracket (off by 1/2"). This forced me to enlarge Mastercraft seat frame and OEM seat bracket holes to accommodate. In addition, the seat is 1.5" taller. Similar to what I needed to do for driver's seat, I will be forced to look for alternate seat bracket or modify OEM bracket (cut 1.5" out and re-weld). Not an easy task with tilt bracket. Just wanted all others to be aware that this is not be as plug-n-play as purported.
