EVO Manufacturing EVO-1144B HD Protek Transmission Crossmember in Black Powdercoat for 07-11 Jeep Wrangler JK

Pretty disappointed in this crossmember. I wish I would have went with poison spyder or one of the many other aftermarket crossmembers. I opened this up to find that it's just a single C channel with a plate welded on top to box it in. All the other aftermarket crossmembers use two C channels welded together to form a double thick sidewall that's 3/8" thick steel. This thing is half the strength and costs more than most of the others. I thought the extra cost would be worth it because it was already powdercoated where some of three others are bare steel and require painting or powdercoating. Don't get me wrong, it's still quite a bit stronger than factory (hence why I gave it two stars) but definitely nowhere near as strong as all the other brands. Now I know why they have a pretty vague description and not many pictures on their website. I'm just saddened that nobody else reported this weakness in ANY of the reviews or forum threads I read about this. I actually did a fair bit of research before buying. I'm pretty sure I'll have to replaced this thing in a year or two because I really don't see it holding up to too many hits.
I'd DEFINITELY buy a different one of you're searching.
