Is there a diameter range of the flashlight that this holder can accommodate if the accompanying flashlight is not purchased? i.e. using another brand of light but want to use the holder.

Why would this not work in a 2 Dr JL? Are the front seats not the same?
The 2dr seats need to move up and forward for rear seat access and this prevents the bracket from mounting correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience

This accepts many flashlights that run D-Cell batteries such as a typical MagLite brand flashlight. These run, on average, between 1.350 to 1.5" in diameter.
