Description
The original replacement Steel Tailgate from Omix is for the Wrangler YJ. If you Jeep is ready for some preventative body work or you are repairing collision damage, this tailgate is made to original standards and accepts all internal components and hardware. Black primer coat is applied at the factory to reduce prep time, but final paint is required prior to assembly and installation.

Recieved in a box with minimal padding, top corners of tailgate were bent. Holes for the locking mechanism do not line up with the cover plate. Nut plates popped loose while installing hardware (using hand tools). I got 3 of the locking mechanism bolts to hold. Will work for now, but I imagine I'll end up doing a drop gate in the future. Does not include weather stripping.
