Description
The JET Stage 1 Performance Module is a great add on for stock or slightly modified Jeeps. When installed, the chip manages fuel timing for the best performance while using lower octane fuels which saves money on gas! The JET exclusive Dynamic Spectrum Tuning provides power gains across the entire power band and not just at full throttle. Point by point air/fuel ratio, ignition advance and various other tuning points provide performance gains of up to 25 horsepower. Improves throttle response, acceleration and low end torque. Simple, plug-in installation in less than 30 minutes.

Product gets 5 stars. Noticeable difference in throttle response which on a manual also makes for smoother shifting (and less shifting because there seems to be a slight gain in power). Unsure of any increases in gas mileage.

Customer service from Jet gets 0 stars. Unable to get the vehicle to turn over initially. Removed and reinstalled to a check engine code and traction control code. Called customer service and was on hold for 20 mins. Ended up leaving a message for a return call which several hours later, still hasn’t come. Thankfully able yo tinker a bit and get it working properly.

I have more power, The transmission shift points are where I like them, As for MPG no change but I wasn't expecting much of a change, Could be I'm in it too much.

Make sure you read the instructions. I ended up breaking the Mopar back-shell, when it wouldn't release the module. It's now being held together with duct tape.
I didn't really notice more power, but cruising at 60 and 70, I'm barely pushing the accelerator. Engine runs amazingly smoother. Can't wait to check the mileage.

Questions

For this chip you have a picture of it installed Into both sides of the cpu. Which is the correct side?
Install the JET module on the BROWN (top) connector by pulling out the locking handle to line it up with the guides on the PCM and then push down firmly to make sure it is seated all the way into the PCM. Thanks for your inquiry.
I have an Axle Back exhaust installed, but no other engine or exhaust MODs. Would the Jet Performance Stage 1 chip apply to my situation? Also, are there any Dyno results available for this product on a 2014 JK? Thank you!
Stage 1 would be the appropriate add on for light modifications, like an axle back system. A dyno chart is not provided on this model, at this time. Thanks for your inquiry.
What is the difference between the stage 1 and the stage 2?
Stage 1-For stock or mildly modified vehicles. Fuel and timing curves modified for optimal performance and mileage using midgrade fuel (89 octane or better recommended). Good for daily driving, towing and street performance. Improves horsepower, torque, overall acceleration and throttle response. No other modifications to vehicle are required, but the Stage 1 programming will work with most aftermarket upgrades without using premium fuel. Stage 2-Designed for the performance enthusiast, the Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to make the most horsepower and torque available. The Stage 2 programming requires use of 91 octane fuel to optimize the advanced timing curves, a 180 degree thermostat to provide a denser air/fuel mixture and a free flow exhaust system to reduce back-pressure. The stage 2 will also enhance the performance of aftermarket intake systems, mass air sensors, TBI spacers, etc.
