Reviews for Rugged Ridge Fortis Tube Doors for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Came with mirrors
Strength, durability, and came with mirrors!
The install was pretty straightforward. I like the lool of these doors and they are pretty stout. I found a set of mirrors to fit them. My only negative comment is that the front door rubber grommets need to be longer. I came up with a way to prevent them from rattling but I wish they would have had more adjustment. Regardless, I am pleased overall.
I managed to break one of the hinges during installation. I called Rugged Ridge and they replaced the part immediately at no cost to me!
Excellent doors. They look good, fit well, and don't rattle at all. No adjustments were needed. They fit perfectly out of the box.
These take a little bit of work to get adjusted but once they are they work great. Love the open air feel
Awesome tube doors. The looks fits in perfectly with the rest of the Jeep and the finish matches the mopar rock sliders perfectly on the Rubicon for a solid factory look. Doors were easy to install and get aligned and the doors latch securely with a standard push and not too much force. One added bonus is that it actually gives. you more interior space on the sides for any passengers in the front or back since it sits out a little further than the stock doors. Definitely helpful if you have a row of 3 adults in the back going out for a ride on the trail. As always, Quadratec's customer service and shipping was superb and somehow I was able to receive my doors less than 24 hours from when I placed my order!
very well built. No cheap small steel tubes here.
I love these tube doors. I did have a little trouble with the passenger door, I ended up trimming the rubber bumper to get it to close correctly. all and all very happy and highly recommend!
Highly recommend . I had mine custom powder coated and they are great . No rattles super smooth install
These doors are very sturdy - they weigh almost as much as the full size doors coming off the Gladiator. The tubes are heavy gauge steel and I pretty much feel safer from a side collision standpoint than with the regular doors.
They require a bit of trueing and adjusting to get right the first time, but after that it's about a 40 minute project to change out the top and doors (I rigged a pulley from the ceiling for the hard top).
I bought the mirrors as well; they're obviously manual but do the trick.
Advice: Back out the latch hex bolts and locktite them. Don't know why they didn't do that at the factory.
Fit and finish: The right rear door required an extra pad on the rubber grommet to make contact with the door frame. Simple enough, squeaky otherwise.
They are super fun and I recommend purchase. The Mopar doors don't come with mirror mounts.
