Reviews for Lange Originals MJL-800 Coyote Mirror Pair for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Easy and quick
Quality fit and finish
The shape he of the arm.
I really like the look of these mirrors on my Jeep. Keep in mind these are convex, so it takes some adjustment to compared to the factory side mirror.
I gave 4 stars since I did have to replace the mounting bolts because the ones that came with them began rusting after one northeast Ohio winter.
Solid product as stated by prev 2 doz reviews! Pros in my ranking: 1-Mirrors don’t move at high speeds-70; 2-easy install; 3-mount attaches to cowling not door hinge / same view; 4-makes it street legal. Cons: 1-convex birds-eye view too far away; 2-thumb screws need to be tightened w/ rag & pliers to make it tight. OVERALL - would definitely recommend this product to O|||||||O owners that want to take the doors off & remain legal while still being able to see while traveling high rates of speed between 4x4 Sites.
Mirrors look good, fit good and stay in place. Quality is good too. Only complaint is the glass quality. One would think for what these cost they would have a better quality glass. Objects are way closer than they appear. Definitely no even comparable to a factory mirror.
I didn't get the knob screws or paint protection in box, a little pricey, mirrors are mostly plastic. I own the quadratec circle mirrors, which these mirrors are worth more then twice the price of those but not 3 times the price. Mirrors can be fold towards the hood so they don't have to be removed.
Ok Functionally this system is good 5 stars. No or very low vibration, the mirrors don't move in High wind. So for a cheap effective solution these are good. they don't use the door hinge (which may or may not interest you and the bolts wont get loose due to the placement of the unit on the car.
My complaints are the following:
1. Not sure why but the original packaging was cut in half for shipping and the parts were rolling around int eh shipping box??? Why?? does quadratec not have bigger boxes?I was missing the felt protector too for the base unit to protect the paint on the Cowell.
2. the passenger side mirror is a little short so you have to kinda crane your neck to see it.
Hope this helps you.
They look great on my Gladiator. I like the way they mount on the side. Small fish-eye mirror. It is hard to see if the car behind you is far enough for you to change lanes. I would say no really safe. I bet my wife will make me buy bigger mirrors. I won't just out of pride. They look good. Maybe with time, I will get used to sticking my head out to double-check. But on the passenger side, pray, change lanes, and enjoy the ride.
Worked great..... for awhile. The passenger screw eventually rusted off and snapped right off within the 1st calendar year. No biggie..... I still have the drivers side one! Well, 1st attempt this year the same happened. Both are now broken off so I can’t just get a new screw in there without drilling out the old ones! If you’re not using the mirrors, I would highly suggest removing those thumb screws all the way off and store them somewhere.
