Reviews for Quadratec Winch Ready Bull Bar Front Bumpers for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
Features and build quality.
WORKS
By far the best TJ bumper I’ve come across. Installation was a breeze, the detailed instructions were appreciated.
Thicker, stronger than the ARB Bull bumper that it is replacing (because) it rusted out at the ends (open tube bottoms let salt spray from tires travel inside of bumper. Quadratec's design is much better!
Perfect !!! I just replaced my 20yr old rusted out ARB bull bumper with this one . This bumper is of thicker gauge metal than the ARB bull bumper . Perfect packing ,perfect fit, no issues at all. I wish Quadratec made a matching rear bumper .
Super sturdy and heavy duty bumper first off and fits wonderful with the winch I added.
Received the bumper and even though the shipping container appeared to be “trashed”, it was obvious that the method of wrapping the bumper in a protective cover was impressive. The bumper’s appearance was flawless. The one issue I encountered with this bumper was the statement “ Fits most winches”! Well, not the Warn Zeon 10 S , the area on top of bumper that accommodates the winch had to be expanded roughly 6 inches in length and a bit of grinding to widen certain areas. A little filing and touch up paint, resulted in a factory like appearance. Fitted the winch in place and I must say ( good luck to the thief who tries to remove it, because it is “snug”. I am 100% satisfied with this bumper, sturdy, welds are clean and coating is durable.
Thank you
Very nice bumper for the money . I have zero complaints about it . It fits the jeep nice and it’s a quality built unit with a perfect finish . No other brand comes close to the quality for the price !
Love it. Super solid and not too over stated. It is a heavy bumper, you’ll want front spacers to adjust for the sag on the suspension.
I purchased this without foglight provisions, and with the q9000 winch. The winch needs to be installed before you mount the bumper to the jeep, and the winch controls have to be installed on the rails, otherwise the bull bar interferes with the control box. As someone else mentioned, the bolts on the bull bar are covered with powder coat, but I simply used a wire brush attachment with my bench grinder (cordless drill attachment should work just fine) to remove the powder coat. Bolts went on just fine after that. The instructions for the winch and bumper came separately with the products. There was no explanation on how to mount the winch to the bumper, but it was very straight forward. All in all, a great product, and I'm really happy with my purchase.
