Reviews for Quadratec Maximum Duty Nitro 8.0 Shock Kit for 84-06 Jeep Cherokee XJ & Wrangler TJ
Huge Difference in handling and overall ride since I replaced the "Original" shocks on my 99 Wrangler. I also painted them the same color as the Jeep. Looks and rides great! Buddy B.
Perfect! Exactly as described. Alot stiffer than factory set up and drives great now compared to soft ride with lots of body roll due to the old shocks that were completely worn out. These worked excellent
These shocks are great. I have had them on my '98 Jeep TJ with a 6" lift for about three months now. They are perfect on & off road.
For the price of four (shocks) they provide an AWESOME ride. Period. If you are looking for a smooth Cadillac ride... but a Cadillac. Best. Shorty sends...
Stiffer than original ride but for me it’s great. I have a lot of extra steel front and back
I purchased these shocks for my 05 LJ. Install was the same as any shock installation with 100k on the clock.
They ride a little stiff on stock size tires and no accessories, now that the jeep has 33s, gear, and bumpers, they are a great feel.
For the money they are 100x better than the shocks in the same price range.
good stiff ride smooth's out nicely at highway speeds
Great shocks at a great price! smooth on road and great off road! Trails that I ride on feels as if I'm on pavement! work beyond expectations and great value! feel custom made for my lifted 99 Cherokee, 3inches, with 31x10.5x15 combo.
Look great, and provide a great ride, stiff but not too stiff.
Roadway handling and breaking seen more solid and more stable compared to the shocks that came with the 4" lift on my TJ.
Wish I made this switch sooner!
Great shocks for the price and worked very well on my stock LJ. However, I have to ding them a star because after putting in an 1.5 budget boost the shocks don't have the necessary travel for the axle to fully articulate. I like the firm ride which translates to a more planted feel on the highway. Very little body roll in corners. They soak up bumps on washboard gravel roads and work well crawling down forest roads. I had about 3000 miles on them when I had to swap them out and hadn't noticed any issues.
Overall I highly recommend them for a stock TJ/LJ if you are looking for a firm but comfortable ride.
