Reviews for QuadraTop Adventure Top S Soft Top for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited
love my new top except for the fact when its a windy day and you have the sunroof open the wind will catch it and it starts to open up like a parachute. They need to design someway to latch it down. Other than that great top and no leaks.
Just put my new top on last weekend. Other than being short a bag of screws, the ordering and shipping process went well. I love the top, and it's already getting lots of compliments! I question the 2 hour install time, took me at least 3. I installed it myself, in temperature anout 75 degrees. Some tough stretching, but it was worth it. I got rained on last night while driving on the highway, with no leaks. It does have some wind noise in the front corners, like stated in another review. Overall I am very happy so far. Looking forward to summer driving.
Only reason this is not a 5 is because complete removal of the top is not easy. Otherwise great top. Easy to manipulate the windows and top after initial installation. Took me a while to get it installed because of the temperature. Fabric was tight.
Quadratec gets a 10 (on a 1-5 scale) for customer service. Long story but I needed a part for my top and they went over the top(pun intended) to ensure I was taken care of. Thank you!
Install instructions were hard to follow. Just lay out all the parts and piece it together and use instructions as a guide. I like the function of the top, but wish there was a way to secure it down when folded back. Hard wind caused the top to flop up while driving one time. Fits well and very quite inside.
Very nice top. I've only been using it for about a week, but the ease of use, flip back front portion has come in very handy with the weather, and my wife's hair! I didn't think they were serious about laying the top in the sun for about an hour so, but it helps a lot with getting that thing on, and Velcroed and zipped in place.
Just installed this today. It takes a good bit of time to assemble the door surrounds, but the instructions are thorough. It needs to be assembled and installed when it's warm. The directions say 72 deg.+ , but the warmer the better. After all the fabric parts relaxed in the sun, assembly was easy.
The front flap folds and closes quick and easy (much easier than freedom panels). Looking forward to using this top for the summer!
I've had this on my JKU for over a week now and really enjoy it. I should have waited a little to put it on but who gets a package and waits. The temp was around 40 degrees so everything was very tight. Now that it's warmer and everything stretched taking windows out and reinstalling are a breeze. I've gone through the car wash and been in heavy rain and haven't had any leaking issues other than the first night because it wasn't stretched enough and couldn't close all the zippers. I'm not sure if it's the fastback style or the weight savings going from the hard top but my mpg is even better (but who buys a Jeep for fuel economy).
I love the top! It went on easy even installing it on a 60 degree day here in NJ. The top went on quickly and fits great. My only issue is: The top when folded back, lifts and flaps while going over 50 mph. I was under the impression this top would work at highway speeds with the front folded back. If I knew this would be an issue I was have maybe purchased a different top. I came from the Trektop NX that would bounce and flap and bunch up and was really hoping to have a top that can be folded back without those issues. Hope a solution can be found so I can enjoy the top as promised.
Looks good,
Had it get it hot in the sun to stretch it out so that i could zip close the back window. Took a little longer than suggested
I like it but loved the aspects of the previous version a bit better. This new version of the top has a newer, less easy to operate sunroof flip version. Previous version I owned of this top could easily be opened and closed while sitting in the seat. Not anymore..you have to get out and flip the lid shut now. Only other odd thing is the weird plastic slots you have to use to keep the back window panel closed. Seem cheap and will be easily lost if you don't protect them.
Other than that, it's a good top, and will be fantastic in the summer time. Looking forward to make the most of it in the summer time.
