Have to remember that this is going on a Jeep Wrangler; an off road vehicle. There is too much open space around the bottom, left side, and front, of the filter for water and mud to hit and get into when off roading! Had to make a piece to enclose the filter.

The silicone sleeve used to attach the intake tube to the throttle body was a larger diameter than the throttle body flange leaving a kink in the sleeve when tightened. Intake tube had two pin holes at the parting line seams, one on each side, and the tube was not correctly formed to provide a flush fit around the throttle body flange. I have purchased K&N products for other vehicles but this is the first time I have seen poor quality like this from K&N.
