Reviews for Rugged Ridge 11025.18 Rectangular Quick Release Mirror Kit in Textured Black for 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ & JK
Love product, no vibration, rattling, or whistling. Easy on and off!
Good price, simple install. It works on both bolt locations for JK (despite what the instructions suggest) which is great because my upper pair are occupied by a roof rack system. They didn't fold in for me at speed and only vibrated minimally. But for the price and freedom of going doorless, this is a very good option!
MUCH BETTER THAN THE HINGE MOUNTED TYPES OUT THERE. AND CAN SEE THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR WITHOUT ANY ISSUES! GREAT PRODUCT!
Love these mirrors! They vibrate very little and stay in place at highway speed. I like how I can actually see out the passenger mirror and not having the dash in the way. Installing was easy except the bolts that came with them to secure the bracket onto the A Pillar, were not right. The thread pitch was too fine. I just ended up using the hardware from the Jeep. The head of the bolt is taller than the supplied flat head bolt, so you hit your knuckle a little when trying to tighten down the knob. But it’s not even a big deal since the mirrors are awesome. They do whistle and the radio doesn’t drown it out when cranked. I will be running a bead of RTV around the back of the rubber trim of the mirror.
Installed them last night. They were very easy to install (probably about 20-30 mins) and most of that time was just lining up the mirrors. So far they seem pretty solid. I haven't noticed them moving in on me as I drive the interstate, but I tightened the knobs with a wrench to make sure they were snug.
I just installed these mirrors on my JKU and yes they whistle but I have found that if I turn my stereo up I don't hear them (it's a Jeep). I do not get the vibration and movement others said but I did use a pair of pliers to tighten mine down so they don't move. There is a nut on the back of the mirror that should be tight as well (which might fix some issues others seem to be having). Overall it is worth the $$ and I would recommend that you purchase the little round mirrors that help you see in the blind spots.
Work great enjoy being able to see behind me with and without doors
They have a low whistle but youll get over it because they dont move at all under high winds and they go on and off quick.
Easy, affordable quick install and easy and fast to take off and on.
and yeah they whistle a bit... but you took your doors off... so. It's windy.
Love these mirrors. A lot of reviews about slippage and vibration but it's all about tightening them down with enough pressure to keep them stable. Don't just tighten by hand, take pliers or channels locks to the knob and get a little more tight. The only thing I can confirm on any negative comment is the whistling sound...it's there.....but just turn up the speakers and enjoy the ride..!
