Reviews for Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-Mount Phone Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Once the rubber on the claws breaks off, there is nearly zero surface area to hold the phone so the phone falls off constantly to the point where I stopped using it. The rubber broke in less than a week
Not great. The rubber extensions on the grip arms breaks almost immediately and you no longer have enough surface area to keep your phone in place. One good bump and the phone goes flying
Have owned two of these. They both broke quickly. Not nearly durable enough.
Outer ring cracked on ball mount while installing. The entire thing is plastic save for one attachment. Phone pops out when using the screen. Didn’t even bother with GoPro before moving the mount to the trash.
This product is terrible for 2 reasons. The first, the clamp will ejects the phone and its possible for it to fly out of the window, mine did. Also the plastic o-ring that is used to tighten the phone clamp to the base of the unit constantly breaks. It's made of very weak plastic. However when one doesn't tighten it enough the phone doesn't stay in a usable position.
I'll echo the other complaints about the clip design. Cheaply made and will not hold plus-size phones (I have an iPhone 7+). I don't understand why this product doesn't have a more secure phone clip. It would take very little to redo the ends so that they wrapped around the phone slightly to create a more secure engagement.
On my second clip in 4 months from purchasing new. Like others have said, if your phone is of the iPhone XR sizes, the grip is tenuous at best - and WILL pop out when things get even slightly bumpy. Bummer. This is a cool idea, but those clips have to be reinforced.
Clips have broken twice on this product, first with the original product that I ordered, then again on the replacement that I received. Very low quality.
I can’t believe that Quadratec sells something of this low quality. I used the mount for my Samsung and after only 3 months, one of the rubber clips is completely broken.
Keep in mind that I treat my gear with care and even that didn’t save me from wasting my money on something that shouldn’t be sold to the public in the first place.
Any one know how I can make a warranty claim?
Clips don’t stay in place and the grip does not fit my IPhone 7 Plus. I could deal with that if it didn’t pop out constantly. Will be returning.
