Reviews for Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Got to his for my jeep in October 2016. Had to have it replaced in December due to leak at seal by driver side rear of cover seals. Lots of water came into jeep. But quadratec immediately sent me a replacement. Got it the next day. I will be reinstalling it again this coming spring. I'll let you know how it goes. Great cover otherwise...
Third year with mine. It still works with one stripped screw. We finally figured out how to install it pretty quickly this year. We keep it on until early fall.
Why 2 stars? It leaks like crazy. For $800, it could have been engineered far better. I’ve just come to accept the fact that I’ll be replacing the driver and passenger pans at some point.
Was so excited to get this top that I installed it right away. Installation wasn't that hard except that the screws weren't catching well. Well....after the first rain storm my brand new truck was filled with water. That is the most disappointing thing that could have happened to me. $600 down the drain and top is off now because I am worried it will happen again. Be prepared to swim if you purchase this top.
The top was easy to install but the first heavy rain it leaked. It was like the top was open it was leaking so bad.
Not very pleased. Quality is fair. Installation instructions are horrible and and pieces have inaccurate labeling. Worst part is the installation. Estimate is one hour, I am 3 hours into it and not done. Better instructions are needed and the video is worthless. Biggest problem is the tolerances for the screws are so tight that it is had to get everything aligned. Probably would not have bought it if I knew how much trouble it was to install.
The thing leaked like a sieve. I was very careful on installation to insure the gaskets were seated properly based on prior reviews. the first rain, I had water puddled in my floor board. Took things loose, reinstalled and tightened the screws good again. Next rain, it leaked worse. Great idea but it needs further development. Looking at how the hard tops are installed and lock together, I understand why this leaks. Also, got a lot more wind noise than what I expected.
Quadratic return was fairly painless although it took over a week to get the return label. They had to submit it to UPS twice and the second time it came right through so the issue may have been on the carriers end. Refund for the "defective" product was fast once they received the return.
