Good sturdy box and easy to install

Well crafted, suits my needs.

Appears well made, really didn't care for the cheap, low security wafer tumbler cam lock (like on drawers and cabinets) . So I replaced it with an "ace" tubular keyway cam locks bought on the web. (about $8.50 each on amazon, I think the cylinder length was 55/8 inch but I waited until I got the storage box in the mail to make sure I bought the right size replacement lock. Dimensions don't really tell the story' My Glock 43 or Glock 27 fit inside the box in a in a N82tactical inside the pants holster. A larger full size pistol would probably fit, but probably NOT in the holster for it, just deeper in the drawer next to it. Good product, cheaper than the Tuffy one.

It took maybe 15 minutes to install this - and it's completely invisible with my seat in the regular position. I'm quite happy with initial quality and expect that this will last the lifetime of the vehicle - securing some valuables while I play at the beach or on my bike.

The instructions that came with the box are a little misleading. Pg 2 states that you have to remove a harness mounting plate but states this is for a 2 door. That is not true. I own a 4 door and that mounting plate is also there. Then there was the problem with the front 2 seat bolts. Could not get them bolts to break free. Finally after lots of WD 40, impact wrench, and lots of muscle they finally broke free. After all that the box does fit good and is exactly what i was needing.

Kind of a pain to install, but that's because of the way they built the Jeep. Works well, stays hidden. A determined thief might get in, but it's a good place to put your carry pistol if you're leaving it in the car.

Now this is a GREAT Bestop product. Fit well, serves its purpose and has nothing but utility. Only thing that is a caution is that to remove factory installed seat bolts....you need a really long breaker bar. They were in there Tight.
