This fuel tank shield is much better than the OEM one that came off my 2000 TJ. The plastic fuel tank fit in easily and the punched holes lined up perfectly with the mounting studs. The shield is heavy gage steel with a complete coating that seems durable. If you need one, this is a great option. Don't forget to order new straps, you probably need those too.

It fit my 1998 TJ. Wish I had gone with a thicker material. I guess you get what you pay for

In the catalog it is described as being 3/16" thick. When I measured with micrometer it read .09" thick. Customer service was very helpful in providing return packing slip.
