I'm only moderately handy, but I was able to install this tow hitch and the wiring kit without any problems. It came with all the hardware I needed and the installation instructions were outstanding! The pictures actually matched what I saw on my Jeep, and the holes on the hitch assembly lined up with the holes in my frame like they're supposed to. This never happens for me! I docked one star because the zip ties that were included were strangely brittle - two of the three broke into pieces just trying to bend them. I had some spare zip ties laying around so no problem there, but those ties definitely didn't measure up to the same quality as the rest of the kit.

It would be a 5 star review if this product came with flag nuts for the 7/16 bolts and the m12 the welded nut broke on my jeep and had to source elsewhere which delayed the install

The hitch was difficult to install. Allow at least 4 hours. Mine took closer to 8 hrs. I also bought the wiring harness to make things cleaner and easier. Well, the harness was wired backwards. Left turn illuminated right tail light and vice versa. After confirming there was only one way to connect the wires, I had to go into the wiring loom , cut the two wires (for left and right turn), reverse them, butt connector the fix and use black electrical tape to insulate against moisture. The supplied ty wraps were brittle and broke when I used them. I used my own ty wraps.
Over all, the wiring harness was a disappointment. The install is 4 hours for 1 person. The actual hitch will do the job. Light towing.

Difficult to install, especially if working alone. I professionally work on vintage cars and motorcycles and it was a chore. Biggest issue is that I could not get the 2004 Wrangler wiring harness to work. I tried a 2005 replacement harness provided by Quadratec and it didn't work either. Quadratec did provide mailing label for returning parts even though several months passed after ordering and installation.
