Reviews for K&N 77-1553KP 77 Series High Flow Air Intake for 07-11 Jeep Wrangler JK with 3.8L
After lifting my 2008 JK and adding larger tires, my Jeep lacked the pickup it once had. After adding the K&N High Flow Air Intake and Magnaflow Dual Exhaust, she more than had her power back and had a much nastier, strong sound.
Took about an hour to install on the 3.8L engine, but was pretty easy overall. Again, made a huge difference in giving my Jeep some power again and I highly recommend.
K&N air intake fully met all my expectations. High quality, sounds great, and easy install that took about 90 minutes.
This is a great addition to my 2009 J.K. Unlimited Rubicon. I just upgraded to 35 inch tires and wanted to get back some of the torque and horsepower I lost and this was the ticket. First off, installation was a breeze, took a little less than an hour from start to finish and the instructions are easy to follow. I didn’t do final tightening on any of the brackets until it was set in place, and it lined up perfectly with all factory mounts. Pulling the O2 sensor was a little frustrating, but was able to shimmy it out after unseating it with a small flathead screwdriver. It looks great under the hood too, shiny! I like the throaty noise it adds under hard acceleration, and it doesn’t drone under normal highway conditions. I’m extremely happy with this product, and kicking myself for not purchasing this years ago.
Amazing product!
Very easy remove and install ,Big Improvement over the OEM air intake The 2007 Wranglers MPG Gage now shows 2 MPGS better than the stock intake. The EXcellerator feels and sounds great ! I wish I should have put this on 10 years ago ,Huge difference.
Great product, looks awesome under the hood and sounds great. Much better than stock. Install was very easy with the exception of getting the sensor out of the stock intake. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry it out without breaking it. Other than that it was a breeze
Easy Installation, Instructions easy to follow, looks good inside and Much better than stock Intake
Easy install. Did it by myself very minimal mechanical expertise. Just don't tighten anything until everything is in place. The only issue is there is a squeal when I hit a certain spot on the accelerator. It is a bit annoying. I'll probably get it into a shop to check it out just to be on the safe side.
