Reviews for Quadratec Lightweight Aluminum Cargo Rack with Jumbo Rainproof Cargo Storage Bag for 2" Receiver Hitch
I have nothing but positive things to say about this cargo rack. I received this rack as a Christmas gift to help with carrying my belongings for the 400+ mile trips that I make a few times per year. It has absolutely done the job as expected.
Some reviewers with newer Jeeps have stated that they aren't able to open their tailgate, even with stock tires. I drive an '03 TJ with 35" tires and the tailgate clears the cargo rack, allowing me to access the cargo space if the rack is cleared.
The quality of the rack itself seems to be good. The product is solid, but still lightweight because of its aluminum construction. Assembly was extremely simple as well.
The big bonus of this product for me was the addition of the cargo bag. Although my expectations were low, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bag. Not only is its capacity much larger than I thought, the material and straps both seem to be high quality. The straps in particular, worked extremely well to secure my cargo.
To summarize, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend this product for TJ owners who are looking to up their cargo space.
This cargo rack has worked great when used. It’s awesome!
Works and looks great
Exactly as described. I read several reviews where the door/spare tire could not swing open over the rack. I have a 2019 Sahara MOAB and no problem.
Great product. Rear door will not open when rack is loaded.
Worked out very well for our 1200 mile road trip last week. It held our 55qt cooler, a propane tank, 20L water jug and gas fire pit with about a few inches to spare on all sides.
Just a note for anyone with a 35” spare. The tailgate will not open with the rack attached. It will get caught with an oversized tire. Not a big deal just need to unload it before you open the tailgate and store the rack off to the side when using the cargo area during your trip.
Not sure how it could be avoided but the bag rubbed against the rack for 2500+ miles creating numerous holes and weak spots where water can penetrate. It's a sturdy bag but on a long road trip like ours it will wear through.
That is lightweight and has a cargo bag.
Rack basically comes pre assembled, just easily bolt on the tow bar/receiver tube. Parts fit exactly as they should. UNFORTUNATELY, on JLU Sahara, the rear gate will NOT open with this installed, so beware.
Welded together not screwed
