I really like they way they look, and I like that they plug into the factory wiring harness. It's a really easy install- once you know how to unplug the factory harness. It's in a location that's hard to see. The plug will slide off it's mounting location if you push toward the fender. The red tab if on the bottom of the plug, facing the fender. Once you slide the little red tab back, put a small screwdriver into the slot on the bottom of the plug and lift a little tab inside. Then, it unplugs easily. I think I spend 30 minutes figuring all this out.

When I cut the holes in the grill, I tried to make them as small as I could because I wanted to make sure the lights would fit securely. There's no need to do this- you'll need every bit of the space shown on the instructions to make the lights fit into the grill. They seem to fit very securely.

This Pre-runner light kit was a great start, I ordered smoked lights to replace the orange ones that came with it. After swapping out the lights and installing them it was a good choice and everything blends nicely now.

Best part is there's no need to splice wires.
Better instructions on disconnecting the stock wire harness would be nice. I spent more time on that than any other part of the install. The harness can be reached from the engine bay, but disconnecting the plug is a challenge. They don't "simply" unplug, and yes the safety switch had been released. It almost felt like there was a clip on the back side. Maybe removal from the underside would make that easier. Who knows, since the directions aren't that clear about accessing/unplugging it. They only say to "locate" and unplug it.

With that done, the lights look good though. I installed them into an aftermarket grille (American flag design). Install was still straight forward. Instead of snipping the sock grille, I had to drill 3 holes (3/4") in the aftermarket one to mount the lights.

Easy to install. Makes a huge difference to the appearance of the Jeep. Definitely worth the price.

The fender liner has to be pulled loose and down to access the wiring harness connector. It's toward the passenger compartment and not near the turn signal lamp. Install time was about 2 hrs. You'll need to learn how to unbolt and unfasten the fender liner anyway to change a turn signal or side marker lamp. Be patient with the front grill cover if it is the first time removing it.

Great lighting addition to JL(U) Wrangler. Install is a bit tricky to get to the plug, but inserting into the grill is pretty easy. However when installed it looks amazing and worth all the effort.

Tonight we added the Quadratec Prerunner LED Light Kit. The instructions are pretty great. Took me longer to locate the correct wiring connection for the plug n play harness. Then a little grille trimming and reassembly could happen. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
