Reviews for Quadratec QRC Front Winch Ready Bumper for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Love this bumper! Looks great. Install was straight forward and instructions were concise. Only recommendation to manufacturer would be to move the winch bracket holes forward about 1/2 inch to make winch install easier.
This is a fantastic front bumper. It came well packaged, with easy to follow instructions. I am 62 years old and I installed this by myself. Everything lined up perfectly, fog lights were easy to install. It looks good, and priced right. So far I have been highly impressed with the Quadratec logo items.
Easy to install. Bolt holes match. No problem hooking up the factory fog lights.
Looks wonderful there was only one issue with the installation the bolt that’s attached to the bumper worked fine the bolts that you have to screw into the bulb bumper into the hole with the lubricant in it didn’t go in well after many attempts.
I love how it looks on my 2020 jeep wrangler and it was so much easier putting it on then what I expected. Just FYI this bumper is stout I had enlist some help putting it on the mounts. The only down fall is the tiny bolts and nuts for the fog light that was kinda aggravating but overall the bumper is AWESOME
Great product! Have had over a year now and it’s holding up fantastic and gives a great aftermarket look.
Just installed my Quadratec QRC Stubby bumper.
Bumper arrived a couple days earlier than expected, very well packaged and in flawless condition :)
Bumper is very well built and no lightweight @ 110 lbs. , the bumper is made from 6 gauge plate and the winch support plate is over 7mm thick! Good weld quality/integrity and the powdercoat finish is perfect.
The only tough aspect of the install was installing the fog lights, it was hard to keep the nut & washer together as you try to thread the bolt through the mounting hole. It was tight to get in there, I ended up keeping the nut/washer together w/ some blue painters tape and then holding that tape under the mount to thread the bolt through, was pretty easy after that trick :)
Mounting the bumper to the Jeep frame was simple enough but need to keep the bumper loose until you get the 4 outer bolts threaded into the bumper as there's little room to get all those bolts threaded without any binding or cross threading. Luckily I backed one bolt out before crossing the threads but would be pretty easy to do if you're not careful.
Mounting the winch to the bumper was straightforward although you might want to mount the winch first as there's some tight areas to work with once the bumper is already installed.
I installed the winch after the bumper was installed and took a bit longer since the winch wiring is really tight behind the winch and trying to get to the back winch bolts is pretty tight w/ that angled lower winch support. There are two large cutouts on the underside of the winch plate so you can get your hands in there to install the winch bolts, just a bit tight.
All the bumper holes to the frame, winch plate, fairlead mount, and fog lights were all spot-on, and no need to do any adjustments to the fog light harnesses. There is a thick rubber sleeve included that goes over the stock fog light wire harness to keep it protected even better than stock :).
This bumper will work with the 3 bolt Sport fog lights, and the 4 bolt Rubicon/Sahara fog light w/ plastic bumper (will NOT work w/ the fog lights from a Rubicon w/ Steel bumper).
All said, I'd give this an A+ from packaging all the way to the installed finish, and for the nice price point you get a huge "bang for the buck"!

Due to COVID-19, it took two months to receive but the wait was worth it. I used the 2 months looking at other bumpers trying to decide if I should cancel and move on. After looking at hundreds of bumpers, I always came back to this one.
PACKAGING
Came in well boxed and secure. Zero shipping damage, scrapes dents or buffs.
INSTALLATION
I installed the winch, fairfield, driving lights and harnesses onto the bumper before installing the bumper. Doing all that first got me all the mounting screws installed into the driving lights with no cussing. Ditto with installing the winch bolts. It obviously made the bumper heavier but with 4 of the bolts studs, once hung on the frame, weightlifting is over. My wife merely leaned on it while I threaded the washers and nuts onto the studs.
When installing the bumper, all the holes didn’t want to line up clean so I loosened the brackets on the Jeep frame. That did the trick and all the bolts threaded without tension. I think the side brackets tweak on the Jeep assembly line when they get torqued. Yours might not but mine were off a little bit. Routing the winch cables to B+ and B- at the power center was a breeze.
QUALITY
I looked ever weld, plate, threaded hole and bracket over closely. This thing is 100%. I am tickled that I waited. Bolt hole placement was perfect, the curves of the pipe equal, the plating of consistent dimensions.
TIME REQUIRED
It took me roughly 4.5 hours from unbox to full clean up. I was working at an old man’s pace, enjoying the beautiful day. If I had somewhere I needed to be or on flat rate, I think I could have banged it out in about 3 hours. Mine was the full front so it’s a touch heavier fully assembled than a stubby but with the help of my wife to lift, it was no big deal.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
I’d buy this steel bumper again in a heartbeat. Great construction, clear instructions and manufactured with quality and pride.
Great bumper for the price. Installation wasn't too difficult. The hardest part was attaching the winch to the winch plate, especially the two back bolts. Other than that, it was fairly easy.
I have used this bumper on both my previous JK and now my JL. The install has been straight forward, the fog lights installed easily. I only wish is that they made the same matching rear bumper for the JL that they have for the JK. How about it Quadratec?
