Quality

Awesome bumper!! The fit was excellent with minimal adjustment required. I too had some paint overspray in the screw sockets for the fog lights but easily scraped it out. True to others’ assessment, the most time consuming aspect of installation was removal of the fog light wiring harness from the OEM bumper, and yes, attaching the fog light brackets is challenging. Small dent on bull bar on arrival but graciously and immediately addressed by Quadratec customer service. Smittybilt 10k winch fit in nice. I was able to modify the original skid plate by cutting out a small recess to fit around the bottom part of the new bumper. This is a very sturdy and rugged bumper and I would recommend it, and buy it again without hesitation.

I got my bumper today. It is heavy duty and looks good. I got it to fit eventually. I have a 2021 JLU Rubicon.

Some issues with the bumper:
1) The fog light threaded holes in the bumper have too much paint/ powder coat inside them and the little screws would not go in past a few turns to install the bracket. I ended up using an adhesive to attach the bracket as the first button screw with hex head stripped after I tried to tighten it. Also, if you have fat fingers like mine, you will either need someone with small fingers or hope you get lucky lining up the screws for the fog lights It took me a while, but they are in good.

2) NOT a problem with the bumper - the end plate on the frame where the bumper attaches was welded (at the Jeep factory) slightly off from the frame so the holes were not quite aligned. This was a problem because the bumper has 4 studs that have to fit perfectly into 4 of the holes. I ended up using a rotary tool to enlarge the holes so the new bumper would fit….. bad luck for me from the Jeep plant. Once I was able to get the holes “aligned”, the bumper fit in great.

3) check to see if your winch will fit between the bull bar and the grill before you tighten up the 8 bolts. Mine fit, but I had to work it around the light brackets. If I had 1/2 inch less clearance, I would have had to loosen the bolts to get the winch in.

Overall, I’m glad I got this bumper. It looks good, is heavy and functional.

I absolutely LOVE this bumper!! It is well made and looks amazing on my Jeep!! Was shipped well packaged and arrived pretty quickly. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. Highly recommend!!
