Reviews for Rugged Ridge 2" Receiver Hitch for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL with Optional Wiring Kit

Overall, this is a good product, but two reasons for the three star rating. First, as other reviews have mentioned, the instructions are unclear to the point of being almost useless - do yourself a favor and consult the Quadratec instructions. Second, the plug bracket included with the hitch is too large for the actual trailer plug, and so is also useless. It seems like such an easy, obvious thing to fix, but someone at Rugged Ridge isn't paying attention.

The hitch itself is great and easy to install. No problems. The wiring harness is another story. Install was easy enough but there is no way to mount the 4 wire flat plug to the provided harness. What a joke! This would have been so easy to solve on their end. It looks like the Quaratec version of this kit looks like it has a better molded plug that would have minted to the bracket easier. I wish I would have gone that direction.

The instructions were too complicated. We had to refer to the quadratec instructions to figure it out.
