Uniden CB Radio Reviews
This radio is great. You can change the backlight color, which seems gimmicky.. it is very useful for being able to see the display in direct sunlight or dimmer colors for night use. The built in SWR meter allows you to tune your antenna for optimal range, and the internal speaker is fairly loud. If you're trying to decide between this and a compact unit, the fact that you can upgrade to a wireless mic is worth it, provided you can find a place to mount it. If this radio was stolen tomorrow, I would replace it with the same exact unit again. Worth every penny.
Weather band
Bought the 880 for the jeep with the Quadratec power tap, antenna mount and a firestik antenna. Worked great and kept it to put in the wife's car when they came out with the Uniden 885 which is the same exact CB with Beartracker (cop watching) and self programming scanner for listening to local EMS, Fire, Towing, DOT and Police channels. Quadratec please add the 885 to your lineup.
